New Year Shows Promise for Continued Mining Industry Growth. The Parker Bay Company Remains an Active Participant.
As 2008 begins, there are some signs of difficulties in various sectors of the mining and large earthmoving equipment industries, but even stronger indications that these closely linked businesses will continue to build on the successes and strong performances of the past four years. Mining companies may be challenged by escalating costs and increased competition from a growing number of new and expanded sources of mineral supply. And some economies and markets may face barriers to continued economic growth in 2008. But the general outlook is positive and measures of industry performance and growth are likely to set new highs in many respects. As always, planning to take advantage of such opportunities may require a combination of a company’s internal and external resources.
Parker Bay, a highly specialized consultancy, has provided data, information and related research/analytical services to these industries since being founded by Peter Gilewicz in 1996. Providing these services to more than 80 companies including many of the mining and equipment industries’ largest, Parker Bay has unique capabilities and information resources to draw on when called upon to assist industry participants as they direct their businesses toward meeting the challenges in the year ahead.
Whether it be raw data as compiled into Parker Bay’s Mobile Mining Equipment Database service, or some higher level of data refinement and information analysis, Parker Bay is available to provide a wide range of research services. Interested parties are encouraged to contact Parker Bay’s principal, Peter Gilewicz, to discuss requirements and ways Parker Bay may be able to assist.
